Three new judges of the Appellate Division took oath | Three judges were sworn in as judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan administered the oath to the three newly appointed judges from 10:30 am on Thursday at the Judges Lounge of the Supreme Court. They are Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz, Justice Md. Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hossain. With the swearing in of three new judges, the number of judges in the Appellate Division stood at eight.

Three judges were sworn in as judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan administered the oath to the three newly appointed judges from 10:30 am on Thursday at the Judges Lounge of the Supreme Court. They are Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafiz, Justice Md. Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hossain. With the swearing in of three new judges, the number of judges in the Appellate Division stood at eight.

The oath ceremony was conducted by the Registrar General of the Supreme Court. Golam Rabbani At that time, judges of both divisions of Supreme Court, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin, President of Supreme Court Lawyers Association AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Secretary Shah Manjurul Haque were present.

After taking the oath, the three new judges were welcomed in courtroom number 2 of the Appellate Division at around 12 noon. Attorney General AM Amin Uddin and Secretary of the Association Shah Manjurul Haque welcomed the three judges. They highlighted various aspects of the working life of the three judges. Three new judges spoke at the reception. Then three judges took part in the judicial work.

Shafiqul Islam said in a circular that at three o’clock in the afternoon three new judges placed wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi number 32. After placing the wreath, the three judges stood there and observed a moment of silence to pay their respects to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Before this, under the power of Article 95(1) of the Constitution, President Md. Sahabuddin appointed three judges working in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court as judges of the Appellate Division. The law ministry issued the recruitment notification on Wednesday. The notification mentions that this appointment will be effective from the day of taking the oath.
