Bangladesh Chatra League has announced to hoist the Palestinian flag, march and rally in all educational institutions of the country in solidarity with the ongoing student movement worldwide demanding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Chatra League Central President Saddam Hossain and Sheikh Wali Asif Inan announced this in a press conference in front of Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Sunday (May 5). They said that this program will be held simultaneously in all educational institutions of the country at 11 am.
President Saddam Hossain said, Bangladesh Chatra League is expressing solidarity with the movement started by the students society, teachers and conscious citizens worldwide against the recognition of the independent state of Palestine through the establishment of fairness, justice and human rights and against the crimes against humanity committed against innocent Palestinians.
He said that there is a student movement in favor of Palestine all over the world. Bangladesh Chatra League is going to start strong student movement from tomorrow to show solidarity in that student movement. I call upon all the leaders and workers of Bangladesh Chatra League to hoist the national flag as well as the Palestinian flag in all educational institutions tomorrow at 11 a.m., and make the march and solidarity rally a success. This program of tomorrow is not only the program of Chatra League, it is the program of all the students of the country, the program of all the freedom-seeking people of the world.
Chatra League general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan said, “We express our solidarity with the global movement against the aggressive attack on our friendly country Palestine and the crime against humanity.” Our program for Palestine will start tomorrow with all the students of the country. At the same time, BCL leaders and activists will raise the flag of Bangladesh as well as Palestine along with the students in all educational institutions across the country. And together we will raise our voice to stop the genocide, to stop the aggression on Palestine.
