Prime Minister welcomed Padma Shri awardee Rezwana Chowdhury Banya with flowers

Rezwana Chowdhury Banya, the distinguished Rabindra Sangeet artist who received India’s fourth highest civilian honor, the Padma Shri Medal, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He met on Tuesday (May 7) at Ganabhaban.

When he came to meet, the Prime Minister welcomed him with flowers. At that time, Bangabandhu’s youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana was with the Prime Minister. Later, Rezwana Chowdhury took a picture of Bangabandhu’s two daughters holding the Padma Shri certificate.

Rezwana Chowdhury Banya was conferred the Padma Shri by the Government of India on April 22 for her outstanding contribution to music.
