President Md. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have congratulated the countrymen on the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. They expressed their wishes in separate messages on Wednesday afternoon.
In his speech, the President said, after a month-long fasting and observance of moderation, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is gathered among us with the message of immense happiness and joy. This joy of Eid spread among everyone, in villages, all over Bengal, all over the world. On this day, people of all classes and professions join in a row and share the joy of Eid. Eid builds bonds of amity, harmony and unity among all.
President said, Islam is a religion of peace and welfare. Here there is no place for violence, hatred, violence. Islam embraces universal welfare, including human values, equality and mutual coexistence, and absolute tolerance. This noble message and ideology of Islam should be spread among all.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina conveyed sincere greetings and Eid Mubarak to the countrymen and all the Muslims of the world on the occasion of Eid.
In a message given on Wednesday evening, he said, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the main religious festival of the Muslim world, I convey my sincere greetings and Eid Mubarak to all the Muslims of the country and the world.
The Prime Minister said that Eid teaches a unique lesson of peace, harmony and brotherhood. Forgetting hatred and violence, people are bound by the bonds of equality, friendship and harmony. Eid brings a message of joy in the life of everyone irrespective of rich and poor. Happy Eid to all of us.
He said, let self-purification, moderation, harmony and harmony of Muslims prevail in individual, family, society and state life – this is the sole wish of Eid festival.
The Prime Minister said, May the life of every person be filled with happiness and endless joy of Eid. Today I pray to Almighty Allah for the happiness, peace, welfare and prosperity of all the people of the world.
He said, let us establish the spirit of Islam, the religion of peace, at all levels of individual, social and national life by avoiding all types of injustice, lawlessness, violence and superstition.
The prime minister also said that on this holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr, I wish to Almighty Allah Rabbul Alamin for the future prosperity and continued peace of my beloved motherland Bangladesh and the Muslim Ummah.
