Per capita income increased by 2 lakh 73 thousand 360 taka

In the fiscal year 2022-23, the government has set a target of keeping the gross domestic product (GDP) growth within 7.5 percent, but it has decreased to 5.78 percent at the end of the year. Besides, the per capita income has increased by Tk 2 lakh 73 thousand 360 despite the decrease in dollar terms.

This information was reported as the final GDP published by Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) last Thursday. According to BBS, per capita income was Tk 2 lakh 41 thousand 47 in fiscal year 2021-22, in fiscal year 2020-21 it was Tk 2 lakh 19 thousand 738 and in 2019-20 In the financial year was 1 lakh 97 thousand 199 taka.
