In the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), transactions totaling over four thousand crore taka were conducted yesterday, Tuesday. This marks the third consecutive working day of transactions exceeding four thousand crore taka in the DSE during the current week. Alongside the transactions, there has also been a significant rise in the major indices.
According to market analysis, the DSE General Index rose by 23.46 points to stand at 6,346 points compared to the previous day. Additionally, the DSE Shariah Index increased by 8.59 points to reach 1,385 points, and the DSE 30 Index rose by 10.46 points to stand at 2,143.70 points. On this day, transactions were conducted on a total of 1,651 crore and 82 lakh taka worth of shares and units.
In the previous two working days, transactions worth 1,654 crore and 78 lakh taka and 1,580 crore and 40 lakh taka were conducted, respectively. Yesterday, out of a total of 396 companies, the prices of shares and units of 148 companies rose, 214 companies witnessed a decrease, and the prices of 34 companies remained unchanged.
The top 10 companies based on transaction amount in the country’s main share market yesterday were: Central Pharmaceuticals, BD Thai Aluminum, Fu-Wang Foods, Khulna Printing and Packaging, Olympic Accessories, Orion Infusion, Fortune Shoes, Envoy Textiles, Deshbandhu Polymer, and IFIC Bank.
In the other market, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the CSCX rose by 41 points to reach 10,836 points. Transactions worth 23 crore and 32 lakh taka were conducted. In the previous working day, transactions worth 19 crore and 13 lakh taka were conducted. Yesterday, out of a total of 305 companies, the prices of shares and units of 136 companies rose, 132 companies witnessed a decrease, and the prices of 37 companies remained unchanged.
