Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Online One Stop Service (OSS) portal has recently added four new services. As a result, a total of 67 services including 20 services of Bidder and 47 services of other 22 organizations will be provided through online OSS system.

Bidar Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary) Lokman Hossain Miah attended and inaugurated the program as the chief guest at the Bidar conference room on Tuesday (May 9).

At this time, use of Bidder VIP lounge and provision of Waiver of Condition 7, single process (name clearance, company registration and payment) of Directorate of Joint Venture Companies and Firms and issuance of certificate of occupancy by Chittagong Development Authority were officially inaugurated.

Lokman Hossain Mia said that with the addition of four new services to the BIDDER OSS portal, investors can now avail more investment services from the comfort of their homes. There is no need for investors to visit the office to avail of the One Stop Service (OSS) portal’s services. They can easily apply for the desired services within just 10 minutes from anywhere in the world. If any document is required for the application, it will be notified to them quickly via SMS or email.

He further mentioned that during the recent visit of the Prime Minister to Japan, Mitsui and other top companies of that country have expressed keen interest in investing heavily in Bangladesh and establishing a special economic zone for Japanese companies. We have witnessed numerous foreign investors participating in Bangladesh’s first business summit by paying a $500 entry fee.

The event was chaired by the executive member of the bid. Khandaker Azizul Islam (Additional Secretary). He urged the investors to take the services through Bida OSS and said that everyone needs cooperation to make the service through the Online One Stop Service (OSS) portal a success. For this reason, service providers should encourage investors to avail services through OSS. We have to make the most of technology.
